Kannawidan Festival! Sure Ilocos Sur!






The festival is an annual festival that takes place annually. A celebration of religious remembrance. The fiesta in Vigan usually has a lot of events. For example: street dancing and the carnival. But because of the uncertain example, it was canceled because of the disease we dread.


The Kannawidan Ylocos Festival is our celebration of the culture and attractions here in our province as well as our way of thanking Almighty God not only for the abundant blessings but also for the rich heritage, culture, and traditions of our beloved province. We get used to this rich festival every year. However, in the global crisis we face due to the rapid spread of Corona Virus Disease, we will only have a simple celebration as an honor while still putting our health and safety first. Our provincial government has organized a few simple events while limiting the public to allow the observance of proper health protocols to ensure the safety of the people.


We may not enjoy the annual celebration as before but understand that our health is our top priority right now. Let us pray and hope for the best year to come that we will finally enjoy a prosperous celebration. We may not be able to celebrate Vigan Fiesta which is more fun than ever.
